I'd Choose The 190E 2.5 Evo II
Which Of These European Touring Car Legends Would You Take Home?
Three pristine cars will be on the block at Silverstone Circuit at the end of July—a 1987 Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth, a 1990 BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution and a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II.

Did You Know - Mercedes Benz 600 Edition
Ten Little-Known Facts About the Mercedes-Benz 600
Historically owned by royalty, it has windows that will take your arm off, if you're not careful.
Historically owned by royalty, it has windows that will take your arm off, if you're not careful.
3. A window can take your arm off. The window switch, which makes it possible to take your arm off, costs $11,200.
The
600's windows are operated by a variable-rate switch—essentially a
pressure-sensitive valve body that lives in the door and routes fluid to
the window regulators.
When lowering the
window, this switch acts in a simple on-off fashion; push it, the window
moves at one speed. When raising the window, however, the switch offers
a variable rate—pressing it gently creeps the glass up, but nailing it
slams the window shut fast enough to slice off a body part. You can hear
it whunk into the door. It sounds like a cleaver pounding into a chopping block.
For
some ungodly reason, this switch, which also operates all four windows
from the driver's side, currently retails for $11,200 from
Mercedes-Benz. Fortunately, it can be repaired for a more reasonable
price. The suspension-height switch—the cockpit valve that adjusts the
600's ride height—goes for a more manageable $1400.

Reading This Made Me LOL
The 2019 Mercedes-AMG C43 Gets Bigger Turbos And Is Basically An Audi From 10 Years Ago
Mercedes just updated the C43 AMG to give its 3.0-liter V6 larger turbochargers, more boost and more power. Things are up 23 horsepower to a total of 385, which basically makes this the sports sedan you wished you could buy a decade ago from Audi.
Here’s the key stuff from Mercedes, right from the company’s press release:

Here’s the key stuff from Mercedes, right from the company’s press release:
The V6 biturbo engine boasts a high power output combined with low fuel consumption and emissions. The high power output is in part courtesy of separate, larger turbochargers (max. charge pressure 1.1 bar). Installed close to the engine, the two turbochargers are especially spontaneous in their response. The AMG power unit can be identified by the engine cover with red aluminium insert and AMG lettering. What’s funny about that is it’s basically the same as the B8 Audi S4 that debuted back in 2008. The size of the cars are within an inch of each other in all main dimensions, they weigh about the same (around 3,700 pounds) and they both run boosted 3.0-liter V6s that make horsepower in the high 300 range and they both have standard all-wheel drive.

Some Interesting Boastful Humility
Mercedes Sees The Breadth Of Its Domain, And Weeps For There Are No More Niches To Conquer

Top Gear raised the question to Benz at the Geneva Motor Show, wondering if the company has realized it makes everything from economy hatchbacks to luxury six-wheel drive pickups and every kind of coupe-ified crossover in between. Benz boss Dieter Zetsche was remarkably self-aware about it all:
“Of course, every new car we launch has some ‘substitution aspects’ to the existing portfolio”, said the ever-affable German. “But typically we have a higher cannibalisation impact on our competition, which is what we are aiming for!” He cracks a broad smile from behind the trademark moustache.Zetsche added that the company does believe that there are limits to how many models a company should sell:
“There’s a level of fragmentation where even the customer might get confused, and you’re not adding value any more, and to find the right balance there is certainly not easy.”And he concluded that, desire or no, there’s not much else to look into:
“There are not that many niches left to fill, of course. But, we stay creative and innovative. I can’t tell you what ideas we will have tomorrow. But we have a pretty full picture.”That quote about Alexander the Great, “when Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer,” that sounds so apt in this context is attributed to Plutarch but is probably from Die Hard. So I’ll add in one that’s actually from Plutarch that’s also relevant here, one that the decision makers at Mercedes should ponder: “Know ye not that the end and object of conquest is to avoid doing the same thing as the conquered?”

Here We Go Again With The Naming Carousel
Mercedes files trademarks for new naming scheme
Oh no, not again. Looks like three-numbered names are out.
"You see, you can tell the difference between a regular Mercedes and an AMG model because the Benz has three numbers with a zero on the end, while the AMG has only two numbers and no zero."
That simple equation has made it easy to help people tell regular Benzes apart from their amped up brethren (and from the fake AMG-badged poseurs running around). Alas, it looks like that might be coming to an end. AutoGuide has spotted that Mercedes has trademarked a new naming convention in Canada and other markets.
Essentially, regular-series Mercedes will continue to end in a zero, but there will only be two numbers. AMG will also have two numbers, but those will all end in "3." Applications include A 40, CLA 40, SLC 40, SLC 50 and GLE 50 in Canada, along with CLA 53, G73 and S73. Yes, "73," which would be the new range-topper, probably with AMG's new performance hybrid powertrain.
It's important to keep two things in mind. First, Mercedes models are now specified as -Benz, -AMG and -Maybach, meaning you'd be looking at a Mercedes-Benz CLA 40 and Mercedes-AMG CLA 53, for instance. And second, having three numbers no longer serves a purpose since those numbers no longer correspond with engine output in any way.
There's no such evidence of a similar application made in the United States, but if this is the way of the Benz future, it's hard to imagine Mercedes doing something different here (although Audi is doing just that).

Their Avant Continues To Get Better With Age
The Mercedes-AMG E63 WAGON Is Back
AMG E-Class Wagon: An American Tradition
The AMG E63 S Wagon went on sale in October 2017 as one of 22 AMG models in the U.S. that have standard all-wheel drive (out of a total 40 AMG variants). Although some of the well-known SUV models such as the G-Class, GLS, or GLE usually come to mind when referring to all-wheel drive, the E-Class Wagon has become synonymous for all-wheel drive capability, with a very exclusive customer base.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class wagon attracts one of the brand's highest median household incomes, with 23% of its U.S. customers being located between the New York and Boston metropolitan areas, and 22% in California alone. For more than five years, Mercedes-Benz has been without German competition in this size and class.
The customer base of the AMG high-performance variant of the E-Class Wagon is even more exclusive. As the modern successors to the single S124 AMG Hammer wagon built at AMG's independent U.S. headquarters in Westmont, IL in 1986 near Chicago, every generation of AMG E-Class wagons have always been special-order models in the U.S., never exceeding triple-digit sales. Mercedes celebrates this exclusive group of owners.
"We're proud of our American tradition of selling both the E-Class Wagon and its AMG high-performance variant," said Bernie Glaser, General Manager of Product Management at Mercedes-Benz USA. "Our ability to offer an AMG E-Class Wagon with standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive since 2014 has greatly enhanced our unique position, both in terms of performance capability and also for winter weather conditions in northern markets."
The following is a summary of the 2018 AMG E63 S Wagon, as well as U.S. sales and product information regarding the AMG E-Class Wagons of the past, which follow in the original AMG Hammer Wagon's tire treads.
