I Want To Try This Caffiene Jolt

Espresso Cola: Give Your Soda the Coffee Treatment It Deserves

First, start with the Coca-Cola. Haft and Suarez prefer Mexican Coca-Cola because it's made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. All you need next is to top it off with your espresso—or a makeshift version. Compass uses 17 grams of coffee in the basket to 34 grams of pulled espresso—a one-to-two ratio. To get the big coffee taste with delightful and refreshing fizz, make sure to do it in that order: Pour the soda first, then top it off with the coffee.

But be warned that the caffeine boost is no joke. Not that we mind. Espresso Cola is so good that we're willing to sacrifice some sleep to drink it more often. Except, when we have it after-hours, we're thinking we'll spike it with a little bit of Fernet-Branca or rum.

The Savings Are There, But Will You?

McDonald's Reveals How Much You Would Save If You Buy Their Coffee

In further updates on this strategic rollout, McDonald's has revealed exactly how much money they're projected to save customers if they purchase their coffee.

For example, the fast food chain's $1 any size coffee will save customers anywhere from $84-$93 over four months. McDonald's is also lowering the price of their small specialty hot drinks to $2, which will save customers about $109-$140 over a period of four months.

Savings are calculated for someone buying coffee five days a week from January through April. The pricing is compared to that of competitors' regular coffee and popular small specialty hot beverages (lattes, mochas, and hot chocolates).

I Tried The Tuxedo Mocha & It's Good

Starbucks Celebrates New Year's With A TUXEDO Drink

No, Starbucks isn't coming out with a line of tuxedos... although let's revisit that awesome idea sometime in the near future. Rather, the coffee chain has introduced a line of specialty drinks they're calling the Tuxedo Collection.

The sartorially-themed collection features three drinks that follow the formal attire's black and white motif. Options from the collection include a tuxedo mocha, a tuxedo hot chocolate, and a tuxedo frappuccino.

More Businesses Should Do This

Virginia Coffee Shop Rewards Polite Customers With Discounts

The sign outside the shop advertises cheaper prices for a cup of coffee depending on your manners when ordering.

The sign reads:

“Small coffee”
$5.00

“Small coffee, please”
$3.00

“Hello, one small coffee please.”
$1.75

CUPS Coffee & Tea owner Olivia Byrd confirmed that the higher pricing was a joke and no one has actually paid $5 for a cup of coffee.

She added that  people are being more polite and the joke has gone over well with customers.

How Does This Help Sell Cars?

Cadillac's Opening A Pop-Up Coffee Shop

“Our issue is not the quality of the product,” Cadillac’s brand director Melody Lee told
Bloomberg. “Our challenge is relevance.”

That’s Cadillac’s rationale for opening up a coffee shop on the ground floor of their office building just above TriBeCa in that weird office park zone before you get to the Holland Tunnel. Hudson Square? Whatever.

The space will open to the public on June 2nd and will have Joe Coffee, Timo Weiland clothes, art exhibits curated by Visionaire, and a custom fragrance by 12.29.

I Don't Need A List To Tell Me That I'm A Caffiene Junky

15 Signs Your Coffee Obsession Is Out of Control

You don't wear white shirts anymore
  • Let's be real, with the numbers of sips of brown caffeine water going into your system every day, there will be some missed connections. That's not even accounting for transportation issues. Too many oxfords have fallen victim to a loose slosh of coffee to justify the cleaning cost or the shame of walking around the office looking like you had a tie-dye party at a sewage treatment plant.
