I Can't Wait To Go Visit This Place

SpeedVegas to offer supercar experiences near the Strip

Las Vegas is about nothing if not excitement, and now the city known as America's Playground is about to get a new supercar experience.

It's called SpeedVegas, and it's being built on South Las Vegas Boulevard, just 10 minutes from the iconic "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. The complex is set to be built around a circuit "inspired by Formula One racetracks," on which customers will be able to sample a wide range of exotic supercars and muscle cars.

Rather than build up an existing or disused track, SpeedVegas spokesman Colin Daviau assured Autoblog that "it's a completely new track on a undeveloped parcel of land," featuring a 2,000-foot-long straight, 12 corners, and 60 feet of elevation change. Set to open in January 2016, the hundred-acre facility will also include a welcome center and event center capable of hosting all manner of functions.

The project is being undertaken by the same people behind World Class Driving, which has offered similar experiences on public roads around Lake Mead for the better part of a decade now.
