PGA Championship: Byeong Hun An hits 347-yard drive to win Long Drive Competition
Byeong Hun An’s 347-yard drive on Hole No. 1 of the Lower Course of
Baltusrol Golf Club rolled past both Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy
(345 yards) and Belgium’s Nicolas Colsaerts (341 yards), to capture the
2016 Long Drive Competition at the 98th PGA Championship.
An’s tee shot was the longest drive in this competition since
Andy Franks’ 346-yard drive in 1982, at Southern Hills Country Club in
Tulsa, Oklahoma.
