It's PDK Equipped, But Still A Bad Piece Of Machinery

2016 Porsche 911 GT3 R – offering a lot more than just the normal GT3

The 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 R is the more powerful version of the lightweight version of the 911 which is a bit odd but true.
The car has been released back at the Geneva Auto Show and it is a complete package, offering a lot more than just the normal GT3 model. It comes with a new engine, different running gear, more aerodynamic accessories as well as a slightly different interior.

2016 Porsche 911 GT3 R Price

As you would think from a German manufacturer, all these changes don’t come cheap. In fact, the new GT3 R is almost $40,000 more than the base GT3 which is a massive bump, coming on the market for nearly $178,000, one of the most expensive 911s out there.

Just as we said, its chassis and running gear have been tweaked in order to offer the best possible driving experience. The suspension is fully adjustable by the end user which can tweak things such as the camber, the rebound rate and even the strength of the anti-roll bars.

The wheels come with the widest tires ever fitted to any 911 and they are fitted to center-locking wheels in order to allow for quick and easy change on the racing circuit. The brakes are also a lot more impressive than the usual with carbon-ceramic disk brakes and 6 piston calipers in the front.
