You Can Be A Hero
“Be the hero of your own movie. If your life was a movie and it started
now. Forget about whatever financial disasters you’ve had, personal
failures, relationship failures. What would the hero of your life’s
movie do right now? Do that, do those things.

Did You Know - Bavarian Sausages Edition
5 Things To Know About Bavarian Sausages
5) Bavaria’s casing game is strong.
5) Bavaria’s casing game is strong.
- In Bavaria, there are two types of pork casings: thick and thin. The thinner casings are used for bratwursts and other sausages, while the thicker casings are used for weisswürste. Because the breakfast sausage’s casing is thicker, it’s not normally eaten like a regular sausage. To traditionally eat a weisswürste, one cuts the sausage in half and squeezes the meat out of the casing. Kill says you can sauté the thick casing afterward to eat, but since the sausage is steamed, the casing doesn’t get tender and is often too chewy to eat. All the sausages served at Paulaner are made with pork casings, with the exception of the weisswürste, which gets a thicker beef casing.
Some Damn Good Business Advice
The TV Show ‘Billions’ Gave The Most Badass Advice Ever For Making Millions As An Entrepreneur
When she explains this to Bobby, he leans in, agreeing with the firm. His outburst is coldblooded, honest, and ruthless, the type of thing that starts divorce proceedings in a nurturing relationship. But, as a capitalist, it’s actually some damn good entrepreneurial advice, as INC Magazine noted earlier this week. Peep the scene above. And the transcript below:

But, as a capitalist, it’s actually some damn good entrepreneurial advice, as INC Magazine noted earlier this week. Peep the scene above. And the transcript below:
What is it you do that you’re the best in the world at? You offer a service you didn’t invent, a formula you didn’t invent, a delivery method you didn’t invent. Nothing about what you do is patentable or a unique user experience. You haven’t identified an isolated market segment, haven’t truly branded your concept. You need me to go on?
So why would an investment bank put serious money into it? I all but told you that ahead of time, but you wouldn’t listen. Now you’ve heard it, but it’s too late. You. Weren’t. Ready.Take note, entrepreneurs. That’s advice that will make you millions, if not billions in the case of someone like Evan Spiegel: If what you’re doing isn’t unique or the best in the world or something everyone knows you invented, you’ll always be running around in second place.

Who Knew It Had This Kind Of Power Potential
This 1000-horsepower Corolla iM drift car is the ultimate hot hatch
The Toyota Corolla iM, formerly the Scion iM, is a perfectly acceptable little hatchback, but it lacks the verve and vigor of our favorite economy hatches. Papadakis Racing took care of those issues when building Fredric Aasbo's latest Rockstar Energy-sponsored drift car. It's a Corolla iM with an incredible 1,000 horsepower and rear-wheel drive.
In case you hadn't guessed from that line alone, there isn't a whole lot of Corolla iM left under the drift car's widened body. But it does still have a Toyota four-cylinder under the hood. It's a 2AR engine whose less burly cousins are found under the hoods of the RAV4 and Camry, among others. It produces the aforementioned 1,000 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque thanks to both a turbocharger pumping in 33 psi of boost and nitrous oxide injection. The power goes through a four-speed dog box transmission to the rear wheels, and the car features large fender flares at all four corners.

I Like Their Thinking
Audi's fastest cars won't catch your drift
Audi Sport boss says popular drift modes waste time and tires.
Drift modes are popping up in sports cars all over the world, but Audi Sport development boss Stephan Reil refuses to have anything to do with them, insisting they're a waste of time and tires. So if you want to show off with a wild-looking, tire-smoking, perfectly controlled drift in an Audi Sport model, you will have to brush up on your car control, not your button pushing.
"No drift mode. Not in the R8, not in the RS3, not in the RS6, not in the RS4," Reil said. "I don't like them. I do not see the reason for them. We do not see the sense in sitting there burning the back tires. It's not fast."

Did You Know - Microwaves Edition
You’re Microwaving Food Wrong
Well, here’s how to microwave your food properly.
Microwaves send radio waves from all sides to heat the food as opposed to conventional ovens where it comes from the top and bottom. Instead of heaping all of your food in a pile, space out your food in the shape of a donut with a circle in the middle of the plate or bowl and it will heat up much more evenly.

GQ Knows A Good Thing When It See's It
GQ Style Wrote About The New Class Of Classic Cars But Just Look At The Pretty Pictures
Cars are sculptures. Just like any art, they typify our period. The earlier cars had softer lines, they were more romantic. These are not romantic cars. These cars are in your face. Fast, sleek. These cars don’t have classic lines. They’re confrontational. Don’t take one of these cars out if you’re trying to stay anonymous.(Jalopnik.com)
I'd Buy This
Porsche 911 Turbo 930
We love the GT3 RS Lego kit, but we think it's a little lonely as the only Porsche kit available. Such an impressive Porsche deserves an impressive companion, like this 911 Turbo. It's the 930 version, which is arguably the most famous classic 911 with its turbocharged power, whale-tail wing, and scary driving dynamics thanks to considerable turbo lag and rear-engine handling characteristics. This model is quite large at 1:10 scale, and comes with a detailed interior and exterior. The best part is the remote-control components underneath that allow the car to be driven.

It's About Damn Time
BMW and Mercedes-Benz will narrow down their special segment models such as coupes, cabrios
In a separate interview with Car & Driver, both Mercedes-Benz and BMW admitted that a great deal of their convertibles and coupes are becoming endangered with newer, more in-demand body styles.
Ian Robertson, BMW’s head for Sales and Marketing, explained that though the company may still have the upcoming X7 and X2 along with a few more models, BMW has also decided that they will be removing some body styles in the coming years. The segment, he said is “rather full”.
Likewise, Mercedes-Benz’s Dieter Zetsche said that the company’s recent “expansion into China” including some of the “emerging markets” gave them better opportunities most especially for the sedan. Unfortunately, some of their coupes and cabrios no longer measure up to their expectations.
BMW went on to say that their market for convertibles hasn’t improved since 2008. Also, their convertibles never became famous with the Asian market from the very start. These are some of the reasons why the company has co-developed the Z4 roadster’s successor together with Toyota.
There is also the inevitable fact that the 4-door coupes are becoming highly in-demand as opposed to BMW’s 2-door models. According to Robertson, they have built the Gran Coupes which actually worked for most people. However, with the new models they are adding in, the large coupes may also be at stake.
For Mercedes, Zetsche confirms that the upcoming versions of their coupes and convertibles would not be as many as what we have at the present. All the same, we can still look forward to seeing some of its four-door coupe models most especially the Mercedes-Benz 6 Series Gran Coupe. After all, there remains a fairly reasonable demand for the German marque’s large coupe models.

Those Chose That Of All Things?
The Best Damn Thing in Every State
California: The Pacific Coast Highway
California: The Pacific Coast Highway
- Look, California's big. Really big. From San Diego to Shasta, there's so, so much to see. Luckily, the Cali-spanning PCH happens to be the most scenic stretch of road in the country, and has become the essential road trip if you want to throw the top down and see everything from Malibu to Big Sur, the Redwoods, and beyond. No other stretch of road combines such scenic beauty and pants-shittingly twisty driving with such invigorating delight. It's been immortalized in song, film, TV, books, and everything in between largely because it shows you everything great about the Golden State. Yes, even In-N-Out Burger, which tastes as good among the SoCal bohemians as it does in Steinbeck country.

This Is A Very Good Question
Fleishik's Raises the Question — Is a Deli a Deli If it Doesn't Serve Rye Bread?
Update! Eric Greenspan has responded to the rye controversy:
"Agreed. A deli is not a deli if there isn't rye bread. And that was initially the point. The fact that we are doing something new is exactly why I omitted the rye bread. It's not the deli of your childhood but a sandwich shop that displays the beauty of Jewish food in more depth than meat on rye. But if everyone wants rye, then rye it is. Give me time to find a kosher source."

Porsche Power Pack Option Is Back!
2018 Porsche 911 S gets optional 30-horsepower performance kit
For 2018, the entire Porsche lineup gets a host of new interior and exterior colors and an enhanced range of connectivity options. In addition, 911 S models get an optional performance kit that gives the cars a 30-horsepower bump. Current 911 owners that are feeling left in the dust will be able to retrofit the performance kit to their cars, providing they checked the box for the Sport Chrono package.
The performance package isn't just a simple engine tune. The kit includes larger turbochargers, the Sport Chrono package with dynamic engine mounts, a modified brake cooling system, and a sport exhaust system with two central tailpipes. It's expected to cost about $12,350 in the United States. The kit is available for all new 911 Carrera S, 911 Carrera 4S, and 911 Targa 4S models.

It Took Me A While To Understand This Lesson
Every Successful Person Has Learned This Important Lesson
Here’s the Lesson . . .
The moral of the story is this: most people want to believe in overnight success and instant results. What they fail to realize is that there is no such thing. We often focus on the successes and victories that we see in others, but fail to recognize the hard work that led up to it. This may be you, it was Jeff, and at one point, it was me.
What you need to know is everything worthwhile takes time. If you want to see incredible results and make incredible happen, you need persistence and desire. Your ability to cultivate desire and take persistent action is what will make you successful, not your natural talents. It’s all about consistent daily action.
Never forget that what you do on a daily basis determines your habits, and you habits determine who you are, what you accomplish, and the legacy you leave. People will measure you by what you do.

Less Is More Profitable
Porsche pockets $17,250 profit on every vehicle
Porsche’s profit machine, already humming, just shifted up.
The Volkswagen AG brand delivered 238,000 vehicles last year and posted an operating profit of 3.9 billion euros ($4.1 billion), up 14 percent from 2015. Put those numbers together and it’s on pace to net about $17,250 a vehicle, up 9 percent.
Its Teutonic peers don’t have nearly as much profit punch. Daimler AG pocketed about $5,000 a vehicle last year, roughly the same margin BMW AG has been managing. Part of the money magic is simply price. Porsche doesn’t make cheap cars. Even luxury players like Mercedes occasionally offer more pedestrian versions at narrower margins to get aspiring buyers into the family. And make no mistake, Porsche customers are paying a premium for the brand’s reputation.
